A Convenient Ventless Gas Fireplace
"Warm up with tis ventless gas fireplace!"
A ventless gas fireplace is a great new type of unit that can provide elegant flames. They look gorgeous in your home, and easily connect to propane or natural gas. In addition to that, some types can switch between the two, like the Hearth Sense RDS wall mount model. This is a standard vent free model that can put out about 20,000 BTU/hr (btu meaning British thermal unit, of course). It’s a great unit for any home, and can even perform well with children present due to its special technology that monitors the air levels to maintain optimum breathing.
Another type of unit that makes due without the vent is the log set wood burning type. Of course, it’s not actual wood, but it does mimic it. It provides the user with gel fuel to make the flame spark up very quickly, and can be a little cheaper than wall mounted units. These are free standing units. There are also models developed by Superior, Majestic, and Zero Clearance, and they are made just as well as you’d imagine. There is also a Heatilator model that fits excellent in a corner due to its smaller size.
Installation of these special units is also refreshingly simple, as they either come with wall brackets and screws or you just set them up in your existing fire space. They can also work well in an outdoor setting, perhaps on your patio or out in a fire pit type area. Just be sure you have a blower for safety purposes.
I know what you’re thinking. You’re wondering how this stacks up against the almighty electric models. Well, it’s pretty close to being as great. It’s just another take on the fireplace. Everyone has tried very hard to reinvent the wheel in this case so you’re left with a lot of options. It’s very hard to say what the absolute best model is but the electric one is hard to beat. However, for those that don’t want electric and want to switch up their old traditional style, this one is worth a shot.
